Student teams worked on designs for new buildings to house Career Technical Education (CTE) programs on our campus for this year's Construction Industry Education Foundation’s CREATE competition. Congrats to the Child Development team - Zane Allred, Raymond Frank, Ingi Helgason and Chris Galli - who won Best Design Concept in the Virtual Competition for their whimsical design for an earth sheltered building for a Child Development CTE program! You can see more in their slides or video.

All of the teams did exceptional projects. Industry mentors helped students think through some of the engineering and construction considerations in their projects.
Project X by Aahana Chakravartti, Lauren Cheng, Ella Perez and Joanna Wong was also selected by our industry mentors to represent our school in the overall competition. You can see more in their slides or video.

The Steel Panthers - Alvina Chow, Katherine Hsia and Ryan Kiniris - built a mock-up of the green wall that was part of their design for a building for a fashion design program. Check out their Slides or Video

Team Apple - Griffin Reese, Eric Breazeale, Luca Scatena and Mason Rosales - created a model of the moveable shading devices in their design for a media arts building. Check out their Slides.

Team Tigers - Sophie Matthews, Brooklyn Arcenal, Rohin Young and Sam Bender - proposed a Performing Arts & Media Arts building that blends in with the Mission Style of our campus. Check out their Slides.

Many thanks to Carlisle Sanden and CIEF for organizing the competition and to our Industry Mentors & Judges for all their help!
